Brown & Out Theater Festival 2012

September 28, 2012 - October 21, 2012

At CASA 0101 Theater

CASA 0101 Theater is proud to present a collection of 11 world premiere short plays celebrating the Latino/a LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) experience.

This year the Festival’s production team is collaborating with participants from Jovenes, Inc., a facility for homeless youth in East Los Angeles, to develop an additional short play to add to the current collection that will highlight the needs and experiences of their homeless young people.  Jovenes, Inc. is a nonprofit organization in Boyle Heights which provides services and stable housing options to transitional age (18–24 years old) homeless and displaced youth.

The mission of The Brown & Out Theater Festival is to present plays written by Latino/a and LGBTQ storytellers representing the rich, diverse and ever-evolving Latino/a and LGBTQ culture.
