CASA 0101 Theater and Teatro Nuevos Horizontes is proud to present the Tony-winning Best Musical, “In the Heights”.  “In the Heights” tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood – a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It’s a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind.

CRITIC'S CHOICE: Inhaling the songs and face-offs, hurling themselves into De Dios’ sizzling moves, everyone’s fervor produces the most effective small-scale take on a big show since “Dreamgirls” at the MET and “Color Purple” at the Celebration. It would be loco to miss it. - David C. Nichols, Los Angeles Times

GO: Powered by choreographer Daniel Lazareno De Dios' electrifying production numbers, director Rigo Tejeda's staging...expertly weaves Miranda's salsa and merengue rhythms with Hudes' limpid conflicts into a driving and seductive Technicolor fantasy. - Bill Raden, LA Weekly

...bringing the magic and power of professional musical theater to Boyle Heights—to which I can only echo Abuela Claudia’s “Praise to this!” - Steven Stanley, StageSceneLA

...this very special assembled cast of 24 members, supported by an outstanding production crew and band lit up the stage from the opening sizzling dance number, and kept us all enthralled... - Frankie Firme, LatinoLA
