CASA 0101 Theater is proud to present “PLACAS: The Most Dangerous Tattoo”, the celebrated play by Paul S. Flores. PLACAS is a bilingual tale of fathers and sons, transformation and redemption that illuminates one man’s determination to reunite his family after surviving civil war in El Salvador, immigration, deportation, prison and street violence.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Are you interested in creating stage performance about local stories in your community? Is there a pressing issue you think is missing from the story about where you live? Learn how to make theater out of true stories, while honoring the spirit and dignity of your community.
Award Winning theater artist, community activist and playwright/producer of PLACAS, Paul S. Flores leads a craft and process based workshop on documentary theater techniques using interviews to create compelling performance for the stage. Participants learn interview techniques, performance and acting skills, and are also introduced to healing practices meant to honor and respect the lives of community members giving their stories for your project.
